What I saw functioning well on other fora and what I hope functions well here too, is a topic to get things that trouble you, make you down, keeps you worried and just want to vent off your chest. Nice replies are welcome, though just getting things off your chest is good to. Let's refrain from full debates though, that would derail the topic.
My spleen: tomorrow is the big release day, but I have the flu right now, feeling very tired and ill and not fit enough for gaming. If my condition is the same tomorrow, I'll feel too miserable to take a new CHARNAME on an adventure of the Enhanced Swordcoast (now! new Enhanced Swordcoast! with Wild Mages and Evil Blackguards! but please can somebody give me a potion of healing or cast a Cure Disease on me).
*edit: topic title changed. Kudo's to @Kristie83

Found a bug? Please follow this instruction.
Please log any bugs that you find via our Service Desk (yes, we know it might be "another site, another password", but it's the best way to directly hear from our developers).
BTW, we also have a useful FAQ.
1. Check for Mods
Make sure that you have no mods installed and are not running a rooted/jailbroken version of your device OS. If you do, try to reproduce the issue with a new game on a clean installation. We can’t fix issues with mods, and it’s often hard to tell where a bug came from if it’s only being reported on a modified game. If you are playing a custom module, please contact the creator of the custom module. If you can reproduce the issue with no mods installed, move to Step 2.
(If it turns out the issue was caused by one or more of your mods, check out the Modding forum and see if the mod's author can help you identify the cause of the problem. Your issue may help a mod designer/maintainer make their mod better!)
If you are the author of a custom module that is failing on the Android version, please check out our forums for help.
2. Reproduce the issue.
If it’s a gameplay issue, try to go through the same steps you took to make it happen. The simpler the steps are the better, but it’s important to be precise so that we can isolate the cause and fix the problem. Be sure to create a saved game just prior to the steps you took, so that we can retrace those steps exactly.
If the issue is related to graphics or text, take a screenshot. The method of taking a screenshot will differ by device, so please refer to your device's documentation for the correct button combination.
3. Report the issue
Please describe the issue as clearly as possible, as well as any actions you took leading up to it. Save files before the issue occurred are useful. If you only have save files after the issue occurred, please still include those. If at all possible, screenshots that illustrate the issue will also help us to track down the source of the issue. If your game has crashed, please include a crash log, which is included in the device file structure under:
Phone/Tablet > Android > data > com.beamdog.nwnandroid > files > user > logs
(The above may differ depending on the device)

Long Time CRPG Fan, First Time Forum Member
Heeeeellloooooo,
Decided to finally make an account here after doing some occasional lurking for a while.
A little bit about me first, I guess. I'm 28 years old and originally from the Chicago suburbs but in the last four-five years made the move to Colorado with my girlfriend, now wife. I'm a gamer through and through and it's been my biggest hobby since I was like, four, and played my parents Atari. My first CRPG was Baldur's Gate and my most recent CRPG completion was Divinity: Original Sin 2. Outside of RPG's, I play Counter-Strike almost religiously and have since I was probably 10, but at the end of the day, I play almost everything. My recent purchase of a Nintendo Switch brought me back to actually wanting to play consoles for the first time in nearly a decade, but I'll always be an annoying PC fanboy. I figure that's not too out of the ordinary around these parts though.
For the longest time I kind of fell out of CRPG's, but over the last handful of years I've gotten back into them and it's gotten intense. When Beamdog first dropped the Baldur's Gate enhanced games, I bought them but didn't play them and actually still haven't booted them up. It actually wasn't until I had played through Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition and the Arcanum re-release that I remembered what I was missing.
My friends and I just started a playthrough of Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition last night actually. We're currently playing with the core rules as one of my friends has never experienced a real CRPG, and though Icewind isn't the best example, it's probably the easiest and most accessible for a new player. We grinded out nearly three hours last night and he's having a blast, so I'm extremely happy.
I mainly joined to keep myself up to date on the latest Beamdog happenings... I haven't really followed their updates or anything and I'd love to be more in the loop, especially since I've had my fingers crossed for an Icewind Dale 2 Enhanced and I'd always heard rumors about Beamdog working on a third Baldur's Gate game. That being said, I've always been a forum junkie, so I'm sure I'll get involved with the community here and there.
Anywho, if you've made it this far, cheers! Glad to be here!

Hail!
I've never really used forums much in the past, but I've heard that it is good etiquette to introduce yourself in places like this when you make a new account. So I say greetings to you.

Can I survive SOD without a cleric?
That's my question...I plan to take Jaheira when I find her, but otherwise I'd like a run without Glint and/or Viconia.
What are my chances?

[MOD] Lefreut's enhanced UI for IWDEE
Hello,
I'm glad to release the fourth mod from my enhanced UI mods trilogy :) This time for IWD:EE.
This UI mod contains mostly the same features and tweaks as my other enhanced UI mods so if you're already familiar with them you should like it :) Otherwise, there are some screenshots in this post so you can see the changes I made.
The record screen is not done because I'm not sure if I want to do it or not, the dialog code is completely new, let my know if it's better than the old code and some other things might differ.
This mod contains the full UI.menu (and resources) and should be used only if you don't have any other UI modifications.

Conversation font
When playing on a decent-sized tablet, it would be good to be able to make the conversation font much smaller.
Otherwise, we'll be scrolling a lot, especially in some custom modules.
This should be independent of UI scaling, which is fine as it stands.

Bugs and oddities during my recent playthrough
During the Prologue cutscene, the narrator says Gorion "interrupted your chores in the middle of the day", yet the game starts at 7AM.
Dreppin always says "Nice day, ain't it?" even though weather in AR2600 is as random as everywhere else, and it can be raining at the time.
Enhanced Edition changed 8 Reputation to not carry Reaction penalties, yet the descriptor still says "Disliked" at 8 Rep.
If you kill Edwin in Nashkel, even without ever talking to him, Dynaheir's "Edwin is dead" speech will override her "I'm being rescued" speech and you get no XP for doing so.
Bandit Scalps can't be put in the Bag of Holding(BAG31)
XP reward from Tenya depends on how you deliver the news to her. If you pick the "They are all dead and will trouble you no more" response, you'll only get 1000XP. If you pick the "Here is the bowl" response you get the full 2500XP.
Several houses in BG South/Docks are hard to get into because the transition point is off-center, but the house with Larriaz in it is the worst; you can get stuck on the doorway just trying to get in.
During the Seven Suns quest for Scar, if you free Jhasso then return to Scar without killing all the Doppelgangers, you get 2000XP and 2000gp for bringing him the news, and after killing all the Doppelgangers he'll still give you the full 6k XP and 6k gold. In other words, doing the quest "piecemeal" is worth 2k XP/gold more than freeing Jhasso and killing all the Doppelgangers on your initial visit to Seven Suns, which is only worth 6k XP/gold.
Delorna, one of Shandalar's daughters in Oberan's Estate, is supposed to summon guards if you demand the ritual components outright. This doesn't happen.
Brielbara disappears at night. Don't know how intended that is. Usually quest givers don't move at all. At least put her in Splurging Sturgeon at night so you can still get the quest.
In Entar Silvershield's estate, on the upper floor, the wall in Skie's room doesn't actually block line of sight. https://i.imgur.com/PDWUm8U.jpg
You can pickpocket Varci Roaringhorn outside of Tremain's house for an extra Shield of the Falling Stars.
There's a trap in High House of Wonders on one of the four containers by the wall that is impossible to disarm, but does nothing.
Cyrdemac's "Ruffian" bodyguards drop Bandit Scalps. Don't think anyone would let these guys into Baldur's Gate.
Chanter and Voice of North/South/West/East are positioned incorrectly in Candlekeep revisited area AR2626 https://i.imgur.com/PU1Z7vq.jpg
In Candlekeep Catacombs, you can pickpocket Arkanis for "unique" Arrows that only stack up to 40. It is possible Dalton(in Durlag's Tower) has them as well, but I forgot to check.
You can pickpocket Ike outside of Durlag's Tower and then again inside(or buy it) and get two Dwarven Wardstones that way.
The altar with Tome of Wisdom in Durlag's Tower thrid floor AR0504 has a trap with 110 Find Traps disarm difficulty, that nonetheless is impossible to disarm no matter your Find Traps score.
Combat Music loops endlessly in Candlekeep Caves AR5506.
Some NPCs that give info about Sarevok gaining power do so even after you expose him in the Ducal Palace; personally I only caught Herschel.
Sea Charts are not tagged as a quest item and can be sold to any merchant that buys scrolls/books.
Western alcove in "Urn Room"( http://forgottenwars.com/bg1/ar0512.htm ) has a different search sound than the others.
On Durlag's Labirynth level 3 AR0513, the wing-flapping sound of Greater Wyverns persists after their death.
Again on this level, the battle with Fission Slime doesn't work - the moment you split it once you get teleported to the Chess area, even as you see it splitting.
On Durlag's Labirynth level 4 AR0514 Clair De'Lain says she has "a bow trained at your neck" even though she clearly is equipped with a sword and a shield(she does actually have a bow in her inventory, but no arrows)
The description of the Cloak of the Shield says it has "unknown" amount of charges, even though in EE you can see the number of charges on the item icon.
Cult Archers which appear in Ulgoth's Beard when you return with the Soultaker Dagger cannot be attacked until THEY attack YOU.
In the basement of the warehouse where you fight Aec'Letec, Tracea Carol is so low level she instantly dies to Cloudkill. Some cult leader she is...
After you kill Karoug and return to Kaishas which turns the entire village Werewolf-hostile, Dradeel re-appears in front of the "Great Hut" even if you already killed him in his house on Isle of Balduran North. (Note: only happens if you give him the Spellbook and THEN kill him)
A number of quests in the game never seems to complete: Rising Tensions with Amn; Kivan's Bandit Hunt; On the Trail of Sarevok; Slythe and Krystin; Tandem in Extremis; The Rise of Sarevok.

Any suggestions what mods should be added for BG2EE ?
Hi guys,
I just started toying with BigWorldSetup, I was wondering what mods are fun or increase the difficulty that I should include beside the standard default ones when you first run BSW?
So far I installed standard default + dungeon-be-gone.
Any other suggesttions?
Thank you.

Which Spellcasters Spell Will Hit First?
So this is something I've noticed, or maybe I haven't and it's just confirmation bias. So help me out if you can.
It's not about spells having different cast lengths, that is understandable.
But say you have two mage, you pause the game, you cast the same spell from both, you play and usually it seems to me, one caster lands the spell faster than the other.
OK, so this is where my confirmation bias maybe kicking in, because it always seems as if Edwin is quicker.
I play very lazily, (sorry), use a lot of web and ranged. And this is where it's most noticeable, Edwin always seems to release the spell first and can retreat safely just that tiny bit quicker.
It's probably imagination, but has anyone else noticed the same?

Baldur's Gate II: Ошибки и непонятки
Создал тему, чтобы сообщать об ошибках и спорных моментах в BG2:EE, не плодя для этого множества тем.
И первая же ошибка.
Nalia (Dual-Class Thief->Mage) при повышении уровня Мага и получении оружейной "звезды" получила возможность выбирать из воровского оружия, хотя такого быть не должно.

Welcome to the NWN:EE Trello Board Discussion
Greetings!
Roadmap - https://trello.com/b/K0C0i8wF/neverwinter-nights-enhanced-edition
Input - https://trello.com/b/Lb79bbgy/neverwinter-nights-input
The Roadmap board is a public read-only board where interested parties can inform themselves on what is going on in NWN:EE land, development wise.
The Input board is something I and other developers can fill with data based on what the community are saying. Then you (each of you!) can vote on that data to prioritise it. Developers will pick features from that and move it to the Roadmap board to indicate "this is great, let's do it"
If you're interested in helping to make NWN:EE better, go vote in the Input board, and share the feedback on this subforum.
There will be separate threads for every card from the Needs More Discussion List so that the developers could get more details and feedback on them.
We're also interested in suggestions to improve the Input board itself!
Important: Please, don't use the NWN:EE Trello Board Discussion category for NEW requests, - only for those that are in the Boards already. I've moved a few threads to https://forums.beamdog.com/categories/nwn-general-discussions. In the same time, continue to post requests on the forum (any section of https://forums.beamdog.com/categories/neverwinter-nights, except for the Trello Board), they'll find their way to the Input board and thus maybe one day come to the NWN:EE Trello Board Discussion category :)

[MOD] Animal Companions for Rangers and Druids (for BG1EE, SOD, BG2EE, EET)
Heya,
I have finally gotten around to updating my Animal Companions mod for the EEs.
I'll leave a short description down below. You can find more information on the mod's download page over at the Spellhold Studios or check out the readme which contains detailed information about each animal companion.
Overview:
With this mod all ranger and druid (optional) characters will gain the 'Find Animal Companion' ability.
Upon using your 'Find Animal Companion' ability, you will be able to pick an animal companion
from a list of available animals in your current area. (If there is no animal to your liking in a given
area, you can of course try it again in another area.)
Once you've picked your new animal friend, it will follow you around on your adventures and even
increase in power as you do.
NOTE: I should add that this mod only allows main character rangers/druids to get an animal companion. NPC characters are not affected.
It is also compatible with all kit mods and can be installed in any order.
So, should you choose to check out the mod, I'd be happy to hear from you about that. :)
UPDATE 9.26:
Added IWD1EE compatibility (untested but should work since its a very minor addition code wise).

Request Modfile for Android IWDEE 2.5.17.0
@Xhoblaim, I have moved the request for the IWDEE modfile to the IWDEE Mods area just in case someone out there also wants to use it...
The mods installed here are:
- IWD NPC v6.0
- LavaIt - IWD: an item pack for IWD EE v1.0
- Shadow Magic v1.9.3
- Wildmage v1.7
- A Frosty Journey: The IWDEE Kitpack v2.92
- Warlock v0.8
- I Hate Undead Kitpack v2.8
- Tweaks Anthology v5.0 (various components based on your previous BG2EE choices)
The actual components installed for each mod can be viewed in the WeiDU.log.
This would be about as large as I would go. It is 3 times the max size of an individual file. The big mods are Shadow Magic and IWDNPC in case you are looking at adding something different.
For those who wish to try but unsure how to install:
- Download the .zip files to device
- Remove any previous modfiles and 'lang.zip'
- Delete or rename any current 'override' folder
- Unpack (keeping paths) all the files into the following folder on your internal SDCard:
android/data/com.beamdog.icewinddale/files/
- you should now end up with an 'override' folder and a file called 'lang-en_US.zip' in the root.
Note: The folder could be 'android/data/com.beamdog.icewinddaleenhancededition/files/' (I forgot to grab hold of the actual name when I modded someone elses eariler, sorry).
To uninstall:
- Delete the override folder and lang-en_US.zip.
- You should now be running vanilla
I haven't tested it on my device as I don't have IWDEE for Android... so when you install it, can you report back if all works fine or not.
Happy gaming
Gus

Invalid character - Player login refused. You aren't allowed to use that character.
Hi folks,
I can't seem to be able to use ActivatePortal anymore, here's what I did trying to narrow down the problem:
- Delete nwnplayer.ini and servervault from the Linux (Ubuntu 18.4LTS) server to get a fresh configuration
- Modify AllowLocalChars=0 in nwnplayer.ini
- Start 2 fresh modules with just a starting zone with a lever (ActivatePortal(GetLastUsedBy(), "myServer:xxxx", "", "", TRUE);)
- Connect to a module, create a character, log in, pull the lever
- I get the message "Invalid character - Player login refused. You aren't allowed to use that character."
- I then get prompted to chose a character from the server vault
- I chose the exact same character which was just refused and log in fine.

Unpopular opinions
An idea has come to me to make a thread where we can share unpopular opinions about things in BG and other IE games.
1. Cernd is far from being useless NPC.
In fact, he has tons of high-level druid spells and if CHARNAME is not a druid, than by not having a second class Cernd offers a lot of variety in lvl 6-7 spells if compared to Jaheira. If use the high-level druid spells right, almost any fight in SoA becomes a lot easier.
2. Darts can be a good choice as a ranged weapon for a fighter.
Thalantyr's shop in BG1 has tons of useful darts, Sorcerous Sundries make it even better. There's an unlimited +3 dart on the first level of the Watcher's Keep, available not long after escaping from the Irenicus dungeon. Darts provide 3 APR and with addition APR from specialization and fighter class your darts stay a wonderful weapon from the Candlekeep and to the Hell.
3. 2 thieves in a party is not too much.
I prefer to focus on setting traps and dispelling illusions with one of them and to hide in shadows for backstabs with another. Also, there're Open Locks and Disarm Traps skills. There're always multi-class options available. For example, your character can be a multiclass fighter/thief with amazing backstabs while Tiax or Jan Jansen is focused on setting traps to the place you lure your enemies to. Or maybe a half-orc assassin for backstabs and poison weapon and Hexxat for other thieving skills.
4. Mazzy's relatively low starting STR is not a problem.
She has innate Strength spell, there're lots of STR-enhancing items in BG2, so that leaves you with a shorty fighter (and thus all saving throws bonuses) who has a chance to become GM in any weapon you like (or choose a standard short bow proficiency providing 5 APR with the Tuigan bow).
5. Keep trying using every and each consumables in any fight if you have any.
You won't believe how easier it will become if your fighters nearly always have 22-23 STR for fights and get their saving throws improved drastically. Wands will often be enough to defeat even bosses.
Carry on! Share the things that are relatively not popular among BG fans.

Allow Custom Spellbooks and fixing Presitage class spellbooks.
On the trello input board this is the number one and three most voted on boards. Unless you consider it one issue in than it remains number one only.
I believe the two are related and should be considered one issue. Dragon Disciple and Pale Master do not follow their counterparts in pen and paper as neither class gain their spell casting abilities. As such on the Trello boards I voted for both. Naturally of the two allowing custom spell books is more important. If the first is allowed, a Modder can fix the second and then add new classes as well. As such I request the topic (and votes) be combined into one card.
Please @JuliusBorisov you are our only hope. #YesThisIsAStarWarsReference.

Zombie Survival / Permadeath Servers still around?
When NWN:EE first came out I was playing on an amazing zombie survival server called Undead Awakening but the server was shut down after it started being DDoSed and flooded with trolls. There was another decent one that started up after but it seemed really mismanaged, and I think there was also a cyberpunk one. Does anyone have access to any of those modules (or ancient ones) that would be willing to share them with me? I'm not looking to put a server up or take credit for anyone's work, but I'd really love to play around with it solo and see how they worked.
Also, are there are good permadeath servers up right now? I absolutely love permadeath as a mechanic when it comes to Role Play. It really helps me get into the head space of my character and I think it's very true to D&D, but it seems really rare to find.

Tales of the Harbingers: Throne of the Undying
This is to be my attempt to DM a role playing group here in the forum, similar to @Rik_Kirtaniya’s own thread that was put on hold. This will be a different story altogether, as I didn’t want to hijack his story, but the principle is basically the same. It’s a story where members in the forum may participate as characters interacting with the world. Naturally, anybody is welcome to join, just let me know and I’ll help you get set up.
The rules are pretty much the same. Point-buy system for stats ala IWD2, etc. Not much combat, as actual combat scenarios can get a little tricky without everybody being on at the same time. OoC posts are done using spoiler tags. The same old stuff.
Tagging @Skatan @lolien @ThacoBell and @mashedtaters . I guess you could use the characters you used in the other thread or make new ones. Either way, please post your characters’ details if you don’t mind. Now, on to the story...
In the lands north of the Giant’s Maw, a great canyon spanning thousands of miles, life was hard for civilized folk. Small frontier towns of fishing and mining communities dotted the region, connected by a solitary dirt road that wound its way across the land. Hardly any animals lived in these parts, though monsters were far more common. The largest of the frontier towns was called Callus, a slowly growing fishing town located next to a sparkling river that ran south until it disappeared into the Giant’s Maw. The land surrounding the town was arid, almost desolate, as only the most stubborn weeds and plants dared to continue to grow here upon its surface. Callus is home to several hundred people, including humans, elves, dwarves, and numerous other races. It was truly a melting pot of cultures and traditions.
Nestled in a dark corner on the west side of town was a small, yet comfortable inn, the Weary Wanderer. The lone innkeeper, a short, squat dwarf with a dull gray beard that hung loosely down to his belt, merely grunted as new guests entered the building, not bothering to look up from his arduous task of cleaning out used mugs, finishing each one with a spit shine. It was here that a number of adventurers met and came together to form a party.
