Drizzt Do'Urden Randomization

My thread about additional encounters made me think about the infamous Drizzt Do'Urden encounter which many adventurers use to kill my dear friend Drizzt and take his various weapons.

I was wondering though, would it not be more fun to make the Drizzt and Gnoll encounter a random event that your party stumbles upon while travelling in between locations in the S/SW section of the map.

My reasoning behind this is that technically nothing would be changed from the original encounter other than location but it would eliminate a lot of what people describe as "cheese" tactics that are specially prepared in order to deal with Drizzt. Meeting him in a random fashion (similar to BG2) would reduce the possibility of preparing such tactics and actually make it more challenging if you still desire to kill him.
