EDIT:
Current behavior
Cannot dual-class into a specialist mage.
Expected behavior
Should be able to dual-class into a specialist mage; this was possible in BG1 (so long as you had the additional prime stat).
ORIGINAL POST:
Since EE is going to be using the BG2 engine, I wonder if there's any movement on re-enabling the ability to dual-class *into* a specialist mage. Yes, BG2 implemented specialist mages as kits - but considering specialist mages have additional prime stats (unlike kits, so it's "harder" to dual-class into a specialist mage) and in BG1 you *could* dual-class into a specialist mage, this seems like a regression/oversight on Bioware's part.
also i'm not sure if there's the same level of game imbalance of being able to dual-class into a Necromancer as there is of being able to dual-class into a Swashbuckler (insane!).
this is pretty late in the development process to be bringing this up, so i guess my hopes are low.
