Work in Progress: 'Archaic' Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition GUI (Graphical User Interface) Modification. This will work on a scaled and non-scaled GUI on all resolutions. This is a true labor of love, and my motivation is driven by your feedback. If you have questions please take some time to read through the comments or do a search to see if your question has already been asked, so I don't end up spending valuable time answering repeat questions. ARCHAIC GUI BETA 5.5:
Download Archaic Beta 5.5 - EzInstaller (Recommended)
Download Archaic Beta 5.5 - Manual Install (Optional)
DESCRIPTION: Main GUI, Start Screen/Main Menu Options, Inventory Options, Button Options, Font Size Options, Record, Map, Journal, Priest Scroll, Mage Book, Options Menu, Save/Load, Popup Box and more. Download comes with all files in one easy installer package or manual install.
INSTRUCTIONS: If you are upgrading from a previous version make sure you do a clean install and remove all files from your override folder before starting. To ensure compatibility you will need to remove all mods/files from your override folder. Once Archaic GUI is installed, you may install any other mods/files to your override folder.
EzInstaller Instructions: Run "Archaic 5.5 EzInstaller.exe" and make sure the installer is pointing to the correct install path for your BG:EE override folder ("Your BGEE install path\00766\override"). Next, select your customization options and follow on screen instructions. I have included screenshots of each customization option in the download zip file for your convenience. If you wish to change your customization options after install, you may simply run the installer again (without uninstalling) and change whichever options you wish. The uninstaller will be placed in your override folder. You may also uninstall from Control Panel: Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs depending on your Windows version.
Manual Install Instructions: Install GUI first, then any additional features such as buttons, inventory, start screen, etc. Place folder contents in ("Your BGEE install path\00766\override") Make sure you are placing the .mos, .bam, .chu, etc. files in your override folder, and not the actual folder 'Archaic BETA 5.5'. If you are prompt to replace files that is fine, you will simply be replacing the current GUI you have installed.

As you can see I've got a new username/handle. I had issues obtaining this username in the beginning but now its finally mine. Magevil = Archaic...
I will have a full featured installer coming soon. You will be able to easily select your install options: inventory, start screen, buttons, etc. The installer will take care of the rest with a convenient uninstaller as well. One step at a time and this is only going to keep getting better. Remember were still in early BETA stages. If you think this mod is almost done that is simply not the case.

I will be releasing a small update (BETA 5.5??) before Christmas that will fix a few small issues with BETA 5 including the scroll bars on the Archaic Custom Inventory and other minor things. I will also include an updated/optimized version of the Save/Load Screen and new Map, Mage Book and Priest Scroll Screens. After this I will be taking a small break for the holidays and you can expect to see BETA 6 sometime in early 2013.

I'm creating all new button sets for options, main menu, start menu record screen and more. Should be a huge improvement from the stock buttons. Putting the final touches on BETA 5 for its release either today or tomorrow. BETA 5 is going to be the biggest release so far with many improvements and additional features.

Working on Archaic Custom Inventory right now and I've got the background complete which is about half of the work. Next - I need to arrange all the elements and then start testing. Should be released with BETA 5 without a problem.

Working on finalizing BETA 5.0 for release within the next few days. Archaic is starting to get some polish to it. It sure will be exciting to see a final version as some point.

Good news! BETA 4.0 will be out tonight with 4 custom inventory screens: Dragon Mosaic, Irenicus Mosaic, Plain (with GUI enhancements), and Sword Coast Mosaic. Now the fun part of putting all the screenshots and downloads together in a neat package.

Based on feedback I make the colors less yellow/red and toned it down with a some tweaks to the design. BETA 2.0 released.
All buttons complete and beta 1.0 is ready for download and testing. Please leave your feedback. This beta is for the main interface only. All other screens such as inventory are being worked on for the next beta release. *Updated screenshots for BETA 1.0.
